Visioning Exercise
Community visioning is a technique that offers communities a way to promote great awareness of change, deepened citizen involvement, and a stronger sense of control over a community’s destiny. Photo boards by planning topic will be presented and the public will be able to identify what best represents their future vision of the city and what does not.
Background
A Comprehensive Plan is a document created through a public process that determines community goals and aspirations in terms of community development. It can guide public policy formation related to planning topics including land use, housing, transportation, economic development, parks/recreation, infrastructure, and other quality of life issues.
